Job Description :
Manage MACOM’s global network and telecommunications systems and services.
Provide technical recommendations for network services performance and reliability improvements.
Plan, install, configure and operate large, complex, global network, including IP LANs and WAN, using state of the art technologies.
Design and implement LAN and WAN networks using advanced, mission critical architecture. This position requires expertise with BGP, OSPF, VRRP, VLANs, Ethernet, TCP / IP, switching & routing technologies, Spanning Tree, QoS and Multicast.
Must have experience with the following Cisco devices like routers, switches, firewall, etc.
Working knowledge of the configuration and operation of application load balancing appliances.
Ability to manage large scale SCCP / SIP voice platform including but not limited to voicemail, conference calls, video teleconferencing, hard and soft phones.
Ability to define and implement a QoS strategy.
Strong knowledge of VoIP network architecture and operation.
Hands-on experience on any of Unified Communications products like Cisco, ShoreTel, Avaya etc.
Basic network security concepts required
Strong working knowledge of wireless networking technologies and solutions.
Hands-on on any latest generation technology like Meraki, Aerohive etc. is desired.
Partner with business to gather requirements and ensure needs are being met.
Architecture : Recommends and develops mission critical solutions; makes recommendations to address capacity constraints, performance limitation on wide range of technologies.
Project management : Ability to provide a thorough planning approach to large scale projects. Ability to define physical and logical resources needed to complete a project and meet deadlines.
Inter-personal and communication skills : Capable of writing proposals or papers, acting as a supplier liaison, making presentations to customers, clients, and professional peers.
Job Qualifications :
5-8+ years related IT Network Administration experience
10+ years of IT related experience
Hands-on experience with racking and stacking server equipment
Comfortable performing basic system administration (Windows and / or Linux )
Ability to work independently and in teams reaching high levels of productivity
Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrates strong work ethics
Other Special Skills :
Cisco Certified professional preferred ( CCNA / CCNP / CCIE in R&S / Voice)
Other relevant certifications
Bachelors or advanced degree desired but not required
Experience working within the Semiconductor Industry
Contracts and vendor management
Exposure to Atlassian tools JIRA / Confluence
