Responsibilities and Scope Impact / Scope
Collaborate with finance in a captive Shared Service Center (SSC) to drive high quality service delivery through operational support for finance and accounting systems , and timely resolution of system issues
Support process optimisation & standardisation initiatives , implement process excellence practices
Support training of Users
Support coordination with other functions
Responsible for OneStream system related operations ensuring timeliness, accuracy and quality of work / reports
Work closely with Group Finance & FP&A to ensure the Month end & budget cycles as per accounting calendar are reported efficiently and accurately for both Management and Statutory compliance.
Month end reporting responsibilities;Workflow monitoringTransformation rule updatesMonth end control checks,The timely loading of data during the month end close process, ERP, Headcount etc.
Process monthly change control requests, maintain change control documentation for SOX complianceProvide 1st line support for resolution of complex system issuesProcess worker changes report, provide system access rights to Finance teams and manage changes control documentation for SOX compliance & bi Annual security review.
Provide system support to delivery teams during process / system stabilisationTypically, the first escalation point of contact for complex systems or policy issues related to area of expertise
Audit walk through, providing evidence during audit process.
Support the implementation of new corporate-wide accounting processes / systems
Be proactive and innovate with ideas to improve service based on current performance and risk understanding
Ensure performance measures are met or exceeded in order to drive performance and process efficiencies
Protect organisation's value by keeping information confidential
Ensure knowledge and expertise is maintained, developed and exchanged within the team (including cross-training within the team)
Required Skills and Experience Education and Experience
Accounting qualifications will be an added advantage (CA, CPA, ACCA)2-6 years’ experience
Non-qualified accountants with relevant matching experience may also please apply3+ years’ experience
5+ years of consolidation system administrator experience e.g. OneStream, Oracle HFM, Cognos Controller / TM1 etc.
Experience of data transformation tools i.e. FDMEE
Experience of change control methodology and test strategies, test execution
SQL knowledge a definite advantage
Direct relevant experience of working in a Captive SSC / Business Process Outsourcing Organisations will be desired (in addition to years of experience / qualification)
Experience in partnering with senior stakeholder(s) from FP&A and vendor relationships
Demonstrated experience with and understanding of Onestream, Hyperion or similar systems
Experience of VBA and SQL preferred
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with other financial reporting applications such as Netsuite, Tableau is preferred
Desire to learn new tools and concepts with minimal management direction
Strong analytical skills, including familiarity with accounting and financial concepts and FP&A processes
Highly detail-oriented with ability to follow through each task to its completion
University degree is preferred
Experience of managing senior offshore and onshore customers through daily / hourly interactions
Flexibility to support different time-zones and geographies (i.e Month End)
Flexibility to travel across geographies
Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly articulate expectations and outcomes with various levels of management, both in Finance and Business
Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
Experience of leading a small team through project cycles for model builds
Experience of managing transition of system support activities for finance processes (as mentioned above) from different geographies
Process improvement ideas for effective task management within deadlines, in shared service environment
Strong business acumen and analytical skills (MIS reporting)
Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decision in situation requiring trade-off
Self-motivator with the ability and confidence to work independently and to strict deadlines
