The role holder will be a key part of the Global MSP winning new business team. The team is responsible for generating and costing system designs for some of the biggest multinational corporations in response to informal customer bid engagements through to formal RFP’s.

You'll have the following responsibilities
The role holder is responsible for taking business and technical requirements and designing an end to end systems solution.
This design should based on the DSF architecture and minimise the adoption of non-strategic components. The role holder owns the technical requirements and designing solutions around Service Delivery, Service Assurance & Billing systems mentioned below to meet Customer’s requirement (with specific focus on Service Assurance systems) :
o Request / Order Management (including automation and orchestration)
o Digital exposure, Visualisation and Integration
o Product Catalogue management
o Event Monitoring
o Network Performance Reporting
o Capacity Reporting
o Network Configuration Management
o Incident & Problem Management
o Service Management Reporting
o Document Management
Will be seen as a primary Consultant with regard to Global Complex Contracts Systems. Understanding what matters to customers, contracts and to our business.
To engage in the requirements and definition of new strategic systems and drive innovation into the DSF where gaps in customer required functionality has been identified.
To make the design process as efficient as possible by use of reusable components
Will be proactive in optimising the systems design and associated cost submissions such that contracts can deliver optimal EBIT and operational revenue in contribution to the overall P&L of the contract tooling solutions team.
Responsible for ensuring that the appropriate level of Technical support is provided at all stages of design.
Responsible for production of technical design and meeting all governance requirements.
Working with business representatives, process leads, analysts and domain architects to ensure our designs are feasible and realistic.
Strong understanding of technical and industry trends in the Systems space including how the DSF is best utilised for Contract deliveries.
Engagement with customers and contracts to be able to articulate the DSF in support of winning / retaining new business as required.
Liaising with key stakeholders within the business.
Liaising with key stakeholders within customers organisation.
Liaising with key stakeholders within a bid or design.
Key representative with technical and system suppliers as required.
Engage with BT specialist expertise for consultation on complex design issues.
Work across contract / bid team to ensure business requirements are understood by all parties engaged in developing design.
Proactive thinking with a can do’ attitude
The role holder should leverage the experience of the relevant BT wide professional communities to discharge these responsibilities, thus ensuring knowledge sharing extends beyond the functional boundary of the role.
In addition the role holder will have the additional responsibility to develop SME knowledge in a technical area (SDWAN / Netbrain / SevOne / 1000Eyes etc.).
You'll have the following skills & experience
Ability to communicate effectively with peers, BT management chain, Global bid management teams and end customers
Ability to take a customer facing role in exploring, defining and interpreting customer / contract requirements in the context of the DSF.
Ability to understand the DSF functionality actual and intended and where strategic systems will not meet design goals to drive innovation and strategic updates
Ability to understand the status of our delivery capabilities in line with major programmes of work e.g. Value IT migration, Netbrain deployment, EOSL programmes
To be financially aware and to deliver optimum solutions that drive the maximum revenue and EBITDA
Familiarity with Service Assurance and ITSM tools (SevOne, EMC, SNOW, Netbrain, etc.) and process.
Basic understanding of networking terminology and concepts.
E2E solution design experience
