What will you do as a UX designer at Oracle?

  • You will dive deep into one or more core feature areasin our product.
  • You will collaborate closely with our partners in productmanagement, engineering to understand the customers who use it, empathize withthem, and imagine creative ways we can make their work lives dramaticallybetter.

  • Specifically, the UX Designer will :

  • Own a significant portion of the application userexperience.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders and the widermultidisciplinary team to ensure that requirements are translated into highlyusable and compelling designs.
  • Rapidly iterate to validate ideas with end users andpeers.
  • Create deliverables that communicate design intent toboth business owners and engineering teams. Typical deliverables are userflows, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes and visual designs.
  • Strong Interaction Design & UI / Visual Design skillsfor web / mobile app. A portfolio to demonstrate your skills, process andcreativity for approaching interesting challenges is required.
  • Ability to work on different levels of abstraction, fromdesigning a complex user journey to detailing a page component.
  • A portfolio demonstrating the ability to develop compellinguser interface concepts, flows, prototypes, mockups and detailed visual designcomps.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sketch / Axure / InvisionApp andassociated design tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment andreact quickly to shifting

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in interaction design,industrial design, HCI or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and inwriting, in English.
  • Some flexibility in working hours is required for conferencecalls spanning three continents.
  • Leverage Oracle Design System for Guidelines, Patterns,Standards, Tools, Assets
  • Experience in designing Contact Center / CRM webinterfaces

    6 - 10 yrs in User Experience (Interaction Design, Wireframes / Mockups / Click-thru prototypes, Visual Design)

    Detailed Description and Job Requirements Responsible for creating, evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.

    As a member of the User Experience team, you will develop and apply software design / usability processes in the investigation of technical problems.

    May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses.

    Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications / systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction.

    May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.

    Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical / business skills in area of specialization.

    Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

    Typically seven years of software engineering or related experience needed.
