Job Title : Claims Operations Lead

Division : Class Action & Mass Tort Solutions

Department : Claims Operations

Location : Hyderabad

Reports to : Claims Operations Manager


Epiq Systems is a global legal services organization that emphasizes technological solutions to our clients’ legal needs.

The Beaverton office specializes in the administration of class action settlements, mass torts, and similar legal matters that impact large populations of potentially injured parties.

The Team lead (TL) works on the full range of claims, correspondence, quality assurance and escalations to ensure the satisfaction of the goals and priorities of the team.

The PL also does their part to meet expectations of internal and external clients with respect to claim handling and Service Level Agreements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strictly adheres to SOP
  • Uses proprietary software tools to access and review claim productivity and create escalations when needed
  • Communicates immediately to leadership all obstacles to completing work
  • Meets and exceeds Team & departmental expectations for accuracy and productivity
  • Utilizes documented team processes to ensure compliance with departmental standards
  • Manages team productivity and quality as per assigned targets
  • Analyzes escalation content to resolve and route as appropriate
  • Calculates settlement totals for claimants and closure as per procedures
  • Reviews and distributes reports on work assignments, escalations, and / or QA results
  • Drafts claimant facing communications based on guidance provided
  • Verifies data and processing requirements and makes corrections as necessary
  • Plan cross training within the team
  • Manage team work inventory
  • Responsible for upskilling owns team
  • Owns performance management for the unit / People assigned
  • Other projects as assigned
  • Qualifications

  • Graduate / Post Graduate from a reputed institution
  • 9-11 Years of working experience in F & A / Claims (Insurance, Medical) / BPO Setup
  • Currently working as Team Leader, handling a team size of 15 25 HC
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and Power Point presentation skills mandatory
  • Demonstrated success in quality initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma mandatory
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written English language skills
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing data
  • Demonstrated success in a Team Lead role
