NW Design & Optimisation (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers.
Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance. Contains optimisation and / or managing of the optimisation of customer networks.
Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities (address surveys, site surveys, design and as-built) for deployment projects.
The Performance & Optimisation Specialist performs solution monitoring, data collection, generation of daily / weekly reports, and a first level of analysis and problem identification in a domain of the customer solution (radio, access, core, application).
Performs optimisation in terms of capacity, architecture, performance, analyses counters, and metrics on current capacity and usage.
Forecasts traffic patterns to evaluate impact on current and future architecture. Recommends parameters tuning and design evolutions.

Primary contact of Transmission for the customer & within the organization, continuously supervise the TX important metrics & strategizing the actions to improve TX Ops critical metrics in line with improved user experience.
3G interfaces IUB / IUCS / IUPS / IUR planning and optimization
LTE interfaces X2 / S1 MME / S1-U planning and optimization
WCDMA RNC, mcRNC & 3G WBTS / LTE eNodeb advanced troubleshooting and log analysis
Wireshark setup and log collection & analysis on LTE Interface Protocols & Procedures and Signaling messages
Advanced knowledge in various call flow scenarios of WCDMA, LTE, Parameters, features and their impacts
Advanced knowledge of Megamon, Wireshark, Emil, MAC TTI etc. logs
Nokia single RAN(SRAN) BTS transmission interfaces and parameters planning
Nokia Telco Cloud NCIR / Airscale Planning
Design, plan, implement and tune Communication Networks based on interoperability and standards; inclusive of the development of scenarios, finalisation of parameters, routing protocol, enabling Traffic Engineering etc.
Design QoS architecture in Transmission Network for All IP Backhaul solution in 3G / LTE Networks
Mobile backhaul RAN Transport Network (Microwave / SDH / MPLS-TP / DWDM / IP MPLS etc.) planning for 2G, 3G, LTE, Cloud,5G and enterprise network
IP MPLS Carrier Ethernet network planning & optimization (VRRP / OSPF / BGP / MPLS-TE / IS-IS etc.)
RNC dimensioning & budgeting
IP network DCN and Synchronization planning
Metro Ethernet, VPN, VLAN and VPN networking, Routing and switching.
Detailed knowledge of different control plane protocols of RNCs : Node B Application Part (NBAP), Access Link Control Application Protocol (ALCAP), Radio Access Network Application Part (RANAP).
Supporting Managed Service Teams regarding Transmission Network problems.
Supporting Transport Solution team for new RFP’s / RFI.
Sync Solution Planning & Implementation Support in 3G / LTE Network like Timing Over Packet and Sync Ethernet.
Maintaining key performance indicators for Transport Network Including MW / DWDM and IP Nodes performance
Advance knowledge of Lease line / Fiber & MUX planning
E2E understanding of Mobility NW interfaces and call flow
