Market Development Services, part of the Commercial Services Practice (CSP), transforms traditional pharma marketing campaigns into omni / multichannel campaigns, fit for purpose to drive the Novartis data and digital strategy.
These campaigns are for use across multiple channels by a broad range of internal customers (including Commercial, Medical and Operations teams) from all Novartis divisions and geographies.
The Group Head Market Development HYD is accountable for service uptake, quality, service delivery and integration of all of Market Development elements based in HYD.
The successful candidate will :
Be responsible for MD P&L specific to HYD - $10m (2019), including Bill of Materials margin performance
Lead, motivate, develop & succession plan team of +40-60 associates across HYD
Define 1-3-5 year strategy for Market Development, driving innovation / next generation service pipeline
Work with the Global Head of Market Development (MD) Services to prepare strategic business plans for the MD Service Group
Manage vendor sourcing and engagement, ensuring governance standards are in place,
Be a Point of Contact (POC) for senior level NVS leaders (eg global head of digital / digital medicine, multichannel and CDO) able to discuss, agree and align direction opportunities and innovations;
Postgraduate degree in business, MBA advantageous Business fluent in English
15 years of commercial experience of which +10 years in all of the areas of campaign design / marketing / campaign with a leading Pharma company or advertising agency.
Significant experience of working in Campaign Development from strategic planning, creative design (from ideation to execution) across complex matrix environments
Knowledge of the disease areas within the Business Franchise advantageous, with strong leadership and communication skills and an ability to translate analytic skill into commercial strategy.
Excellent cross-functional skills. Ability to work and lead a cross-functional team in a matrix environment. Strong process / project management skills.
Commercial experience managing digital services or driving key digital initiatives within global functions.
Several years of leading and managing service resource / people management / planning across multifunctional teams and complex matrix environments.
Outsourcing operational experience.
