LMS Architect

In this role, the Learning Solutions Architect will oversee the development, management, and continuous improvement of the Learning Management System (LMS).

Management of the LMS includes leading efforts to design, develop, and implement foundational components of an industry-leading LMS in partnership with Product, Engineering, and L&D teams.

Additionally, this role will oversee maintenance and continuous improvement of the learning system, support stakeholders and L&D partners in the administration of the LMS, building reporting requirements, and develop data structures for mapping learning components into a larger Talent Management data architecture.

This role will also make a tremendous impact on UI / UX changes to the LMS for various user personas, so should have experience working with or managing learning and HR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, communication, and implementation of a vision for the comprehensive use of technology to enable learning and information to be seamlessly available to workers in the moment of need.
  • Manage the effort to launch, administer, maintain, and continuously improve our Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Actively manage stakeholder needs of the global LMS administrator group, ensuring a strong feedback loop to structure, organize and optimize the learning experience for learners, instructors, administrators, and content developers
  • Work effectively within the Product, Application Engineering, and partner L&D teams to ensure learning platforms and products are current with solutions and approaches to digital learning
  • Oversee learning support for L&D administrators, instructional designers, and facilitators, and learners.
  • Support and align with Diversity & Inclusion, Human Resources, Legal, Safety and other internal learning initiatives that have an impact on our employee population
  • Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with the design, development, and implementation of digital learning and development solutions
  • 3-10 years' experience in project management, software development, and HR related fields
  • Experience and keen knowledge in the latest learning technologies, including, AI, VR and augmented reality
  • Well-versed in theory and practice of developing adult learners with an understanding of eLearning standards including SCORM, AICC, and xAPI
  • Understanding of SaaS products end-to-end (e.g., API design, business logic, critical user journeys)
  • Strong ability to analyze existing programs for gaps and improvement opportunities then develop and implement strategies to drive clear business impact
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, experience working with global virtual cross-functional and external partners
  • Proven record of stakeholder management at Mid SR. level
  • Experience with user interface development and knowledge of software development cycles
  • Quick learner who can deal with uncertainty, complexity, and evolving responsibilities
