  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
  • Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
  • Coordinate IT managers and supervise SMEs, technicians and other professionals to provide guidance on IT solutions
  • Control budget and report on expenditure
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
  • Oversee and monitor contracts and SLAs with vendors
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop technology / systems related strategic plans for the businesses to meet their needs.
  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to management
  • Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
  • Own and monitor the in-country technology costs.
  • Develop and monitor budgetary requirements for technology related projects within the country and annual activities of them.
  • Act as the Country Technology Manager, obtain and understand the business requirements and then work with all relevant in-country / regional / group technology groups and stakeholders to plan and ensure the delivery.
  • Manage a team of people through resourcing, retention, development, career management and teambuilding.
  • Prioritisation of management of projects within area of responsibility.
  • Provide advice on systems and applications to minimise business risk within area of responsibility.
  • Manage technology risks, own the country Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), and ensure adequate and timely support from all technology groups for the testing and execution.
  • Develop service standards with internal customers.
  • Maintain professional contact with outside agencies to keep abreast of technological changes and innovations.
  • Maintain internal business contacts to keep abreast of business changes and innovations.
  • Manage technology vendors and external parties.
  • Maintain relevant internal communications.
  • Must be strategic, creative, confident and highly analytical professional with high-level of drive, energy and the ability to influence.
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to manage complex activities within the Bank’s matrix organisation structure
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills to be able to lead and motivate the team.
  • Ability to identify system / application problems, analyse and develop solutions to resolve or bypass the problem.
  • Must be able to work within broad policies / requirements and Business objectives with general direction.
  • Ability to blend the demands of managing day-to-day operational activities with the necessity of maintaining a strategic view.
  • Good understanding of the banking and financial service industry.
  • Proven project management skills at least in a cross cultural and multi-business environment.

  • ITO, Governance & Change - Risk & Control, Technology Governance & Assurance
