We are looking for people who share our passion for laser technology. Contribute to our success and join us as a R&D Engineer VCSEL (m / f), full time permanent position, with focus on Laser Diode Chip Development .

Your tasks

  • You lead and contribute to aspects of development projects for high volume applications.
  • You perform engineering activities for design, development, testing and implementation of next generation VCSEL laser diodes.
  • You are leading and conducting device evaluation, benchmarking performance against target specifications.
  • You are responsible for on-time provision of specific characterization data.
  • You support manufacturing operations and assists in identifying and resolving production issues.
  • Your excellent English (must) and German language skills allow you to communicate efficiently at any level of the organization.
  • Your profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in Engineering or in a related scientific field (advanced degree is a plus) with a strong background in semiconductor physics.
  • You ideally have collected a minimum of 3 years of experience in semiconductor laser engineering or in volume manufacturing industrial environment.
  • You have experience in mechanical, thermal and optical design for characterization equipment in lab environment.
  • Your understanding of semiconductor processes, assembly and test processes is a plus.
  • You possess very good knowledge in MS Office, SQL, KLayout or L-edit, Labview, Matlab, Comsol Multiphysics or equivalent programs.
  • You have good analytical, problem solving, technical and communication skills.
