Preferred Qualifications

Technical – Essential Skills

·Solid understanding of the following areas:

Solid understanding in  Enterprise Manager

Expertise in oracle database Security

·Expertise in Oracle database 11g /12c and data warehouses

·Expertise in database performance tuning

·Hands on experience with Exadata.

·Parallel processing - both Unix and database parallel technologies

·Movement and loading of LARGE quantities of data

·RAC, ASM, Dataguard experience is highly desirable

·Expertise in partitioning and Oracle compression technologies

·Storage Technologies & Virtualization.

·Exposure to Database Security (desirable)

·Experience in Solution Architecture and sizing of Oracle Databases is a must

·Ability to scope and define benchmark projects

·Expertise on Cloud Technologies like Database Cloud Service , Compute , Bare Metal Provisioning and other aspects of IAAS like VPN , Virtual private cloud and migration from on premise to cloud .

·Exposure or at least solid understanding of technologies like AWS, AZURE or Bluemix.

·Hands on exposure to Oracle Public Cloud Service would be a big plus.

·Experience using or managing Windows, Linux or UNIX operating systems. Linux experience is a strong plus.

Technical – Good to Have

·Exposure to any other databases like SQL server, MySQL, Netezza, terraform will be added advantage.

·Good understanding of the IT market landscape & trends

·Works in an IT related role today (pre-sales consultant, system administrator, database administrator, technical support, consulting, development)

·Understanding of architecture and concepts of data warehouse, OLTP and storage.

·Exposure to operating systems like Ubuntu and other open source .

·Understanding of columnar databases like Cassandra and technologies like Hadoop.

Communication & Soft Skills

·Candidate should have very good communication skills with good stakeholder management experience as the job demands working in a highly matrixed global organization in Solution Engineering and pre-sales space.

·Empathy and collaborative approach is a must

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
