Job Description

Administering production SaaS and PaaS systems / services. Managing, maintaining Azure and AWS environments and relevant data centers.

Working with customers and internal teams to ensure the highest system uptime and availability

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provision and monitor staging / production cloud services
  • Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot cloud services
  • Apply OS, application and hardware updates / patches
  • Monitor and maintain DR & backups and recovery operations / services
  • Partner with RnD and Operations teams to enhance telemetry and reliability
  • Understand, simplify, and automate process to improve systems and reduce labor
  • Troubleshoot production issues along with product and RnD teams.
  • Cover assigned rotation as an on-call resource working to identify systemic problems and identify solutions
  • Report problems and participate in related root cause analysis or incident Postmortems
  • Install, setup, and configure third party tools as necessary for the Business
  • Open to rotation shifts with US hours being the primary shift.
  • Work Experience (Indicate the approximate years of relevant work experience necessary for this position)

    Typically requires a minimum of 6+ years of IT infrastructure related experience,

    Technical and Functional Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of Azure and Amazon Web Services
  • Strong working knowledge of windows Platforms with basic knowledge on Linux
  • Strong working knowledge in windows services
  • Knowledge of database systems and administration concepts
  • Strong working knowledge networking
  • Understanding of security scanning and general best practices
  • Relevant Certifications in the cloud technology
  • Knowledge of AWS to Azure Migration or on-prem to azure migration will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge on scripting will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in devops concepts
  • ITIL knowledge and / or certification.
  • Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in managing cross functional teams across the globe, especially the US.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
