All new DCs require efficient and reliable capacity planning to meet exponentially growing customer demand that goal is our NorthStar.

We are an agile, exciting, and fast-evolving engineering team focused on delivering capacity solutions for our customers across all Microsoft cloud offerings.

To ensure that customers can expand their consumption of Microsoft cloud services without any constraints, we established a specialized regional program that gathers customer-based intelligence in coordination with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering teams.

This Sales & Operations Planning ( S&OP ) Program, housed within the Cloud Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) team, works to develop strong ties with field and subsidiary leadership to establish a broad network of contacts focused on solving capacity-related challenges.

This two-way exchange of information enables us to develop an early deal pipeline and more effectively plan resource-specific capacity that shapes our cloud DC growth strategy for each region.

Collectively, our team’s efforts help customers meet their business objectives and propel Microsoft’s fastest-growing business segment!

We seek an S&OP Leader based in India to partner closely with our India subsidiary leadership teams (Area Vice President and LT, Business Group Leads, Technical advisers, etc.

to align on cross-company sales initiatives, cloud capacity expansion, revenue performance, and gross margin targets. Diverse individuals with cloud sales, engineering / capacity planning, and management experience please apply!


  • Develop and manage the regional DC capacity strategy working closely with Finance, Engineering, Demand Forecasting, and Capacity Planning / Management teams
  • Work with Sales Leadership in establishing strategic growth initiatives and ensure that the proper capacity and enablement services are optimized
  • Implement and oversee the appropriate rhythm of business enabling S&OP to capture insights across the sales theater (targets, performance, pipeline)
  • Interface with executive leadership, Sales Leads, and Technical Specialists to address and resolve region-specific capacity opportunities and challenges
  • Partner with Azure Global and Engineering Planning teams and contribute to the establishment, launch, and capacity planning for regional DCs and related infrastructure needs
  • Build a regional capacity plan and deliver infrastructure recommendations to meet sales targets and operating / profitability goals
  • Partner with Azure Global to ensure that the voice of the field / sales is accounted for in the roadmap for available cloud services



  • Work closely with cross organizational teams, including analysis of the opportunity pipeline to develop leading indicators that predict business opportunities and expansion challenges with accuracy
  • Act as a capacity Account Manager’ for all regional capacity opportunities and challenges
  • Become a trusted advisor to regional leadership teams for infrastructure planning, execution, and resolution of capacity-related issues
  • Synthesize key feedback from customers, partners, and field to HQ with the goal of identifying sales blockers and best practice process improvements to enhance worldwide selling capability and efficiency
  • Contribute to the S&OP team’s new rhythm of business (RoB) as it launches an integrated business planning (IBP) program to gather key insights to assist in making informed and efficient planning decisions
  • Develop a localized RoB that will drive business efficiencies across all aspects of the Indian regional supply chain
  • Communicate progress, isolate key challenges and opportunities, and accelerate decision making
  • Role will require travel 20% throughout India, MEA and Redmond HQ


  • 8+ years’ experience in public cloud-based services with sales and / or technical capabilities, preferably with cloud capacity planning experience
  • Highly developed quantitative and analytical skills; understand business metrics, financial modeling, and demonstrate proficiency with financial calculations required for capacity planning
  • Proven track record with outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills demonstrated by cross-group delivery, especially between sales, operations, engineering and business groups
  • Strong problem solving, judgment, decision making and strategic capabilities, complemented with innate curiosity to understand underlying details and a bias for action in solving complex problems
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft technology, cloud computing, connectivity and supporting business models and experience or exposure with integrated business planning processes
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with demonstrated customer, partner, and field empathy and ability to create and deliver executive-friendly presentations
  • Self-motivating and able to work across business groups in isolation, think critically, and act decisively in ambiguous situations
  • BS / BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field, MBA preferred; ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements required
