Title : Staff Cloud Ops Engineer

Job Description :

As key player in the team, you will need to design, deploy, implement, and maintain the products supported by team with core functions of Cloud Infrastructure Management & Operations by leveraging latest industry accepted technologies & processes to attain 99.

9% availability of E2Open cloud.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

Ops :

  • 24 / 7 Production Support by providing technical assistance as needed for application maintenance
  • Monitoring and administrating the components used by E2open products.
  • Manage system life cycle on Cloud & Hosted premises
  • Deployment and release Management of packages, service packs or fixes for product and applications
  • Work on upgrades of software’s and releases of product as needed
  • Perform Identity & Access management internal & external users
  • Monitor systems and applications using monitoring platforms such as Zabbix and / or custom tools
  • Work on trouble shooting and suggest the changes and recommendation as needed
  • Work with cross functional teams for issues and enhancements
  • Responsible for documentation for any new changes in infrastructure of the environment.
  • Involved preparing Root cause analysis document for severity tickets.
  • Additional skills

  • Participate in incident handling and off-hours / weekend maintenance activities, as necessary.
  • Perform problem analysis and resolution of issues / tasks
  • Available for escalations and on call as primary contact
  • Responsible for maintaining the cloud security between servers
  • Leadership :

  • Generating reports for Senior Management and Shift Roster etc.
  • Demonstrable motivation and initiative in working with a global operations team.
  • Lead the team and take decision based on need
  • Prepare the team schedule and scheduling Weekly meetings for improving the quality of work
  • Responsible for Maintaining Systems & Applications inventory management.
  • Qualifications including education :

    Prior Experience :

  • BS or MS in computer science or related fields
  • Experience and understanding of change and patch management.
  • 3 to 5 years’ EAI / Middleware experience; Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic and IIS.
  • 3 to 5 years’ Windows, including shell scripting, Perl or other scripting language.
  • 3 years’ experience in design and implementation of application and systems monitoring.
  • Knowledge of provisioning applications in Windows and Linux systems
  • Knowledge of deployment tools like Chef / Puppet
  • Good understanding of app Server, network, Infrastructure, and web application deployment
  • Knowledge of Middle ware technologies mainly WebLogic, used for application life cycle
  • Awareness of IT compliance policies
  • Cloud monitoring tool using Nagios XI, Zabbix or any tool
  • Administrative knowledge of Relational Database Systems (Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL )
  • Any certifications will be added advantage
