Designing Mobile Packet Core solutions that meet the needs and requirements of Nokia’s CSP and Enterprise customers.

Developing project documentation and artefacts for implementation, expansion, and modification of 5G mobile communication services.

This includes Network Slicing, Cloud Infrastructure requirements, and Container Based Network Functions for operators worldwide.

Deploy, integrate, and test the next generation of Mobile Packet Core solutions in customer labs and production networks, in a variety of environments such as VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AWS and OpenShift.

Leading solution architecture creation activities and define use cases

Translate requirements (TSD) / use cases into technical artefacts (HLD, ATP etc)

Organizing discussions and sign-off on the HLD, acceptance test plan, test strategy and migration strategy (if any) with the customer

Supporting planning team in preparation of CIQ, Low Level Design, IP network planning architecture

Organizing workshops to enable engineering teams on upcoming technology areas / domains

Supporting project manager in project plan, including phase definition, entrance and exit criteria, major activities, identification of task inter-dependencies, and technical project risks and mitigation strategies.

Managing technical risks along with the PM, raise red flags or roadblocks in time to ensuring smooth and timely delivery

Assisting technical team in issue / problem resolution during implementation phase specially for complex integration scenarios.

Lead troubleshooting and debugging interoperability issues in case of first-time multi-vendor integrations

Preparing Migration Strategy, Upgrade Strategy etc for delivery projects and PoCs with different stakeholders

Understanding and validating hardware sizing for both Bare Metal and Cloud deployment

Utilize your deep technical understanding of 3GPP standards in technical discussions and collaborations with customers, project managers and other engineering teams

Acting as a technical guide to pre-sales teams for customer discussions

Seeking renewal of knowledge and self-training self for newer telecom and cloud technologies.

Your skills and experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.

12+ years of proven hands-on experience with telecom projects in CS Core, Packet Core and / or IMS Core domains

Knowledge of Nokia Packet Core, IMS and 5G portfolio is desirable

Understands the underlying 4G / 5G / IMS 3GPP protocols including SIP, Diameter, SNMP, HTTP2, REST etc.

Understanding of Cloud and Cloud Native technology is required

Understands and has experience in various Cloud-based technologies including Kubernetes, Helm charts, Openstack, VMware, Ansible, Playbooks, and Containers .

Has experience with troubleshooting various 4G / 5G / IMS call flows including VoLTE, VoWiFi, 5G .

Proven experience in solution architecture, solution design and delivery, project planning, solution design, software design, development, and deployment .

Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills both verbal and written

Willingness to travel candidate should be able to work efficiently to maximize travel schedule, customer engagement, and internal demands
