Job Description :
The Search Engine Analyst will be responsible for monitoring overall search engine performance for SEM campaigns. The Search Engine Analyst will work with the Search Engine Marketing Manager and Internet Marketing Team to implement search strategies and track the effectiveness of new and existing campaigns.

Essential Functions :
Provide support and analysis for the Search Engine marketing team including :
Monitor, track, and report on paid search metrics, including trend analysis.
Provide support for search engine optimization recommendations.
Interact with copywriter and web service manager to optimize copy and landing pages for Search Engine Marketing.
Provide ad-hoc support for the Search Engine Marketing team including :
Assist in Keyword discovery and expansion
Top keywords raking by category
ROI by Campaign, Site, and Category
Research and analyze competitor advertising links
Back link strategy and implementation
Directory submissions and revisions
Internal link optimization
SEO technical analysis and evaluation
Stay up to date on the latest industry developments
Primary responsibilities :
Review and analyze client sites for areas that need to improved, deleted, or revised.
Write original, powerful SEO content for blogs and websites.
Prepare detailed strategy reports.
Identify the least expensive but most powerful and profitable keywords for client sites.
Run pay-per-click campaigns.
Improve a company's organic search results.
Write effective headlines, body copy, and websites.
Ensure websites are filled with optimal keywords.
Place keywords appropriately in copy to gain most search engine traffic.
Write effective call-to-action statements.
Implement off-page SEO content strategies such as coding.
Effectively use header tags.
Keep abreast of white hat and black hat tactics so as not to violate search engine guidelines.
Strategize ways to improve and track site performance.
Compile and present SEO performance reports.
Adjust PPC campaigns as needed.
Consult with independent web designers to improve the navigation of a site to enhance its search engine ranking.
Utilize basic programming and web design skills to enhance SEO.
Create advanced SEO strategies.
Evaluate product offering, traffic, landing page quality, content, design, security, payment options, shipping options, demographics of prospective customers when determining keywords and campaigns
Job Qualifications :
2+ year s previous online marketing experience. Ad agency or online direct marketing background a plus.
Self motivated, detail oriented and able to prioritize daily work efficiently.
Exceptional communication skills. Show superior judgment and professionalism when corresponding with partners and team members.
Demonstrate a proactive work ethic when managing numerous competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes.
Able to analyze metric data and convey recommendations appropriately to supervisors.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Bachelors degree in Journalism, business, marketing, communications or related subjects.
