Job Title : Senior Manger - Supplier Quality

  • Tasks Responsible for Quality of Part, Sub -assly. and related Processes coming from supplier Qualification of processes and quality system during new part development, Change of supplier, Change of RM, etc.
  • Perform regular process audit at supplier to ensure quality system at supplier capable of delivering right quality parts.

    Supplier approval (for new supplier / Alternate suppliers). Supply Part approval during its evolution process through PPEP (Globally also know as PPAP).

    Good Analytical skills, with sound technological Know-how. (Moulding, Stamping, welding, plating, etc). Support Supplier team in effective implementation of Supplier PFMEA, Quality Assurance plan and Controls.

    Work with central team, Industrial and suppliers quality team in resolving issues impacting the product quality. Demand analysis from supplier for the problems reported in plant and ensure effectiveness of the same through regular review and KPi monitoring.

    Support qualification of new suppliers, RM and change of processes as per of product evolution process. Derive component and process robustness plan based on critical and major part definition.

    Training on Quality tools to supplier team. Implementation of SE digital drives like digital and online Process capability measurement for CTQ / CTP.

    Implement Process Robustness programme at Supplier location. Exposure on 5 Why, G8D, Six Sigma Good knowledge of GD&T and hands on experience on measuring equipment (CMM / Vision measurement, XRF, Tensile and spring testing machine.

    Reviewing, updating of Component Quality Control Specification and Control plan for all the components. Ensuring parts & Sub-assly.

    meeting the category targets. Use of Schneider tools and software, Participate to meeting with different teams, entities and country

  • Reporting SDPM, UDPM, SIO. CSR, PPEP completion range Metrology lead time and Queue. Part reliability. Supplier approval and Supplier Audits.
  • Managemen t Leading Self to ensure right level of part / Sub-assly quality from supplier process Supporting inspectors in metrology on planning tool / part approval.
  • Good communication, data base approach and excellent convincing skills, Appropriate escalation Digital Acumen

  • Training Trained on Quality tools & techniques, Customer view and best manufacturing practices. Good know how on material metrology.
  • Good knowledge on various technologies viz : Moulding, Stamping, Plating and Riveting which enables individuals in getting right quality parts.


    The purpose of this part is to provide some figures allowing estimating the scope and scale of the job

  • Decision making authority Decision to accept the Tools / molds being newly developed. Regular part complying to the set process and ensuring part received in plant are free from any defect.
  • Whether to accept or not any deviations on part and process with CFT by having clear view of actions plan to come back to normal quickly.

    Demanding all the validation report and process parameters from suppliers and Industrial team before accepting any change of process / materials / location.


  • Job Require Good Communication skills both written & Oral Good Analysis and identification of RCA Quick decision Digital acumen.
  • Managing and convincing skills.

  • Job involves Lots of coordination with Direct Suppliers, Tier 2 supplier, Cross functional teams in plant, Industrial, Procurement, R&D / TA and central quality team.

    1. Required skills & knowledge for the position :

  • Good knowledge in Quality management functions with strong technical background.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • High Digital acumen.
  • Good understanding in Statistical Quality Control.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing processes like molding, stamping, machining & assembly.
  • 2. Required Educational Background & Professional Experience

  • BE or ME in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with minimum 7-9 years of experience in Supplier Quality Assurance / Supplier development management.
  • 3. Languages : English fluent


    4. Other Requirements :

    Practicing Six Sigma professional, Good Knowledge on Lean manufacturing, Digital measurement and analytics, SAP ERP & Sales forces.
