Responsible for the configuration and day to day operation of all managed Linux Server environments. Ensure systems / application / environment security, availability, reliability and data integrity with no unplanned down time to production infrastructure.
Working knowledge of complex web hosting configuration components, including firewalls, load balancers, web and database servers.
Excellent working knowledge of Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Linuxmint and Windows. Should have experience in managing the SVN Server.
Install and configure Lampp, Xampp and Wampp. Well versed in combination of Apache, Nagios, PHP, Tomcat, MySQL, Java, VMWare, DNS Server, SVN - ability to deploy, support, and diagnose real issues for a production environment.
Administering common network and service protocols (TPC / IP Stack), such as DHCP, SNMP, NTP. Configure system-level services including Send mail, Syslog, Samba, FTP, NFS, Squid Proxy, SSH, Nginx, SFTP, PXEboot, Postfix, HAProxy, Tomcat, VPN, and Zimbra, firewall and System level security.
Understanding of Hardware which also include storage devices, either its a SAN, NAS with iSCSI. Experience on Monitoring tools Nagios, Zabbix, Smokeping.
Proficient in writing shell scripts. Experience in virtualization tools VirtualBox, KVM. Should have experience chat messenger Openfire.
Experience with Sendmail SNMP, SSH, SFTP and Iptables. Should have knowledge and experience of security policy implementation and Audit.
Should have worked on amazon web services (nice to have). Hands on experience of configuring EC2, VPC, ELB,S3, cloud front.
Server Maintenance, Backups, Performance Audit & Logging. Troubleshooting of LVM and Swap memory space allocation and knowledge of Raid level.
Package installation using Deb, RPM, YUM and solving issues. Respond to all systems alerts - error indicators, error messages, failures, and peripheral malfunctions.,
