Team and Position Summary :

Global Governance team at Walmart Global Tech, Bengaluru, is focused in delivering technology solutions that enable a safe, trustworthy, minimal risk environment for the customers, associates, and communities we serve.

We are accountable & responsible for building critical systems across Compliance, Ethics, Legal, Global Security, Global responsibility areas .

We are growing and establishing Innovation Labs in India where the best & brightest engineers would be working alongside our teams in USA to further use technology to enrich the customer experiences.

Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of large-scale data systems. We interact with multiple teams across the company to provide scalable robust technical solutions.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Drive design, development, implementation and documentation
  • Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide
  • Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
  • Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
  • Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery).
  • Within the established architectural guidelines.

  • Work with senior leadership to chart out the future roadmap of the products
  • Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams.
  • Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.
  • Guide, Mentor team to build the quality product
  • Drive Operational Excellence for your product with No Sev0,Sev1 and also proactive alerting and monitoring should be in your solutions.
  • Build the product with limited or near zero maintenance costs
  • Position Requirements :

  • B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science
  • 5 10 years of experience in design and development of highly-scalable applications and platform development in product based companies or R&D divisions.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals : data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
  • Service Now Certified Admin
  • A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL and CMDB
  • 5+ years of experience with Service Now implementations
  • Experience with Agile development and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes
  • Development experience with web UI development technologies that include HTML, CSS, Java script and AJAX
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following : Jelly, JSON, AngularJS, React, React Native
  • Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs all scripted aspects of the ServiceNow system
  • Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side JavaScript and the ServiceNow APIs
  • Being responsible for Service Now, custom apps and other products : end-to-end DevOps development, deployment & maintenance
  • Owning Tech product architecture, relationships with 3rd party vendors, product backlog, secure deployment, understanding customer experience, personas & product metrics
  • Working with / manage JIRA, Tech roadmap, Tech architecture, design tools
  • Focusing on Innovative solutions; leverage existing product solutions
  • Solving for Technical debt with Tech mod focus
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership for development and design of least one cloud based project.
  • In-depth knowledge of software engineering, languages and tools.
  • Strong hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
  • Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short term implications of design decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills;
  • ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
