The Advertising team is specifically chartered with the responsibility of marketing our products to drive traffic to Amazon and increase sales.
We use several advertising channels to be able to bring customers to Amazon.
One of the major forms of advertising is by placing advertisements for Amazon on 3rd Party websites (Publishers). We have millions of such Publishers in our network, driving billions of dollars in sales for Amazon.
We own products that allow anyone to be able to sign-up as a Publisher in our network. Our external facing portal allows these Publishers to access number of easy to use tools to create visually appealing ads on their sites and contextually link-
up their pages, making it incredibly easy for their customers to discover and consume products on the Amazon store and elsewhere, thereby monetizing their traffic better.
We have systems that are able to monitor customer actions on Amazon.com and on other websites and come up with intelligent advertising campaigns that would maximize the benefit to Amazon, the Advertisers and Publishers.
Our powerful platform systems monitor customer actions as they make purchases, and we initiate payment to the Publishers for enabling the transaction.
These systems also allow us to provide rich tracking and analytical insights to publishers which in turn help them monetize their traffic better.
The Support Engineering team in Bangalore is responsible for providing technical support to development teams that work on driving traffic to Amazon’s retail websites.
We are looking for a Engineers who can use scripting, Unix, and programming skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues across our array of products.
You will also own production system software deployments and ongoing software upgrades for our frontend and backend services.
Key Responsibilities :
Support engineers troubleshoot, debug, evaluate and resolve computer-identified alarms, perform software deployments and migrations, host management and automate routine operational tasks.
The position requires a combination of strong troubleshooting, technical and communication skills and includes a mix of on call and operational tasks and may involve small-
project software development work. Support Engineers also develop tools and automations to achieve human free operations.
