    For more information, explore the opportunities in IEC at our career page (https : / / / ) today*Roles & Responsibilities Develop Product / System / Sub system design requirement, implementation plan, design Risk Management and other requirements as per Business unit site specific process (ISO : 13485).

  • Execute product upgrade, cost out, quality improvement and localisation projects on time with right quality.* Meet the custom order project design requirements and ensure design to manufacturing phase completes on time.
  • Implement design changes and product quality improvement needs through change management process (ECR’s & ECO’s).* Standardise the sustaining engineering process and tools across the sites.
  • Create, practice design reusable content and maintain design records as per site quality manual.* Participate in technical design reviews (TDR) for sustaining & NPD projects and ensure timely closure of TDR actions.

  • Collaborate well with product management, manufacturing, sourcing, compliance and external vendors.* Conduct product teardowns and benchmark analysis of competitive products *Education Qualification : *
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics or its equivalent) *Experience : *
  • 14 to 16 years of experience in relevant industry.* Minimum 1 to 2 years of product Design and development experience in the role of design manager and delivered sustaining engineering and derivative product vitality programmes through stage-gate processes.
  • Previous success with Cost Reduction project design ideation, understanding cost drivers, developing should cost models and implementation of cost out projects* Effectively identify, measure, communicate and manage design risks, recommend design alternates / options which are supported by a clear fact set and analysis (DFMEA, DFT, DFR, DFM, DFS).
  • Prior experience in localisation project execution and working directly with Manufacturing functions* Excellent problem solving, analytical, collaboration and teamwork skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competencies and other requirements : Experience in X-Ray, Product Inspection & Environmental process monitoring product knowledge a Plus.
  • Tools : Agile PLM, Solid Works, Microsoft Project Planner
