Primary responsibility will be to support 100+ RedHat Unix servers running 5 / 6 / 7.
Secondary responsibility will be supporting Windows, VMWare and Netapp environment
Provide and maintain superior customer experience through effective ongoing communication, with clients, vendors, and our technical support staff.
RedHat Unix Administrator (Primary Responsibilities / Duties)
Good hands-on experience of managing all aspects of Unix Redhat system administration functions from initial provisioning to application deployments to performance tuning and troubleshooting to production support
Secures Linux system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation, establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures
Configuration of Linux firewalls
Configuration and Execution of the Patch Management software for RedHat Linux
Experience in automated Kickstart deployments
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose infrastructure and performance issues in a Linux environment.
Experience building and configuring systems to support large-scale implementations (100+ RedHat Linux servers)
Understands secure authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos, NIS+, etc.
Good understanding of UNIX OS theory and fundamentals
Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Good understanding of RAID technologies and skills to manage large number of disks using Network Attached Storage (NETAPP or similar)
Ability to program in an administrative language (Perl, bash, python, etc.)
Good understanding of managing the physical and virtualized environment.
Configuration of Oracle components for Linux.
Configuration of SolarWinds monitoring for RedHat
Windows Administrators (Secondary Responsibilities / Duties)
Working knowledge of installation and troubleshooting of VMWare, VMware clustering, and Windows Servers (2012 R2+)
Installs and configures server software, including but not limited to Microsoft IIS, .NET Framework, Sharepoint, SQL Server, Active Directory, etc.
Manages SSL certificate lifecycle and deployments to all web servers.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose infrastructure and performance issues in Windows Server and VMWare environment.
Ability to use Microsoft SCCM to patch servers.
Good working knowledge of load balancing technologies.
Investigates application problems and issues, performs root cause analysis, develops action plans for resolution and implements accordingly, documents resolutions, and disseminates conclusions.
Working knowledge of installation and troubleshooting of VMWare and VMware clustering.
Working knowledge and troubleshooting of Microsoft Cloud offerings related to PaaS, WebApps, PaaS DBs, IaaS and networking components.
Configuration of SolarWinds monitoring for Windows Servers.
3 to 5 Years- experience in RedHat Linux Enterprise 5 / 6 / 7, Linux Cent-OS is a plus (Primary Responsibility)
1 to 2 Years of supporting Windows servers and VMWare virtualization environments.
Working knowledge of TCP / IP networking, active directory, webservers, security, DNS, file systems.
Working knowledge of SolarWinds.
Good interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
Highly self-motivated and directed
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
English language proficiency
Regular working hours : 9 AM EST - 6 PM EST (New York day time) complete night shift.6 : 00pm login-3 : 00AM logout.
Off-hours support will be required for patching, emergencies.
