Support the Vice President in scoping the audit where necessary.
Deliver audit work to ensure that relevant risks and controls have been identified and appropriately assessed.
Execute and complete testing to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls, documenting this understanding in the BIA audit toolkit.
Update the Vice President and audit team with progress and observations.
Write high quality audit observations and support the Audit Lead in writing the report.
Provide suggestions to management for actions to address control issues identified.
Proactively take on additional tasks as requested by Vice Presidents / Directors / Managing Directors.
Suggest practical ways of improving the work they do and apply where appropriate.
Take into account reputation of Barclays at all times, through positive interactions and following policy and process.
Sets an example and supports fair and ethical behaviour in all colleagues.
Customer / Client
Build strong relationships and mutual trust with all colleagues internal (Clients, BIA CIAs / Vice Presidents / Directors / Managing Directors) and external (Regulators).
Understand the needs of client / customer and make decisions using this knowledge.
Discuss and agree the factual accuracy of audit observations with clients / Vice President / Director as appropriate.
Demonstrates a good understanding of the key business drivers.
Support citizenship agenda across BIA to contribute positively to the communities we operate in.
Apply citizenship lens when making business critical decisions.
What we’re looking for :
Graduate with experience in risk based auditing.
Has experience in auditing outsourcing and third party relationships. This includes knowledge of outsourcing strategy, sourcing / due diligence, contract negotiations, outsourcing migrations, third party relationship controls, contingency planning and exit strategies.
Experience and technical knowledge of auditing control environments at external suppliers.
Practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment.
Proven track record of high performance in previous roles.
Skills that will help you in the role :
Financial services industry knowledge
Experience of auditing outsourcing or external supplier relationships
Understands best practice in sourcing and supplier management and has had experience of applying this to audit work
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ACA, CIPS, CIA, MIIA, ACCA)
