Description

The Director will oversee and lead distributed engineering teams; being responsible for leadership, management, and oversight of development, quality assurance, architecture, and engineering support that lead to delivering an innovative products.

Key Areas of Responsibility :

  • Lead cross-functional, cross-geography teams to deliver enterprise workforce management solutions to market
  • Help define and implement the development methodologies that will achieve availability of these new solutions as quickly as possible, while still ensuring great quality
  • Help drive the program execution of the software from product definition through successful release and transfer to sustaining engineering
  • Implement the Agile-based development practices that will achieve availability of new solutions as quickly as possible while still ensuring great quality
  • Develops and maintains domain, product and process knowledge to improve the market alignment, product quality and engineering practices within Kronos India
  • Reinforce company values and culture in day-to-day behaviors, management style, and expectations of employees
  • Engages teams to achieve organizational success and inspire excitement about our vision
  • Keeps current on new technologies and works to Identify and fill technical gaps; facilitating knowledge transfer throughout the organization
  • Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 17 years or more of overall enterprise level software development experience with 5+ years of experience managing software development teams.
  • Prior Director level experience preferred

  • Experience working in a globally distributed environment
  • Extensive software engineering development and design experience with complex and highly scalable products using multiple technologies, platforms and languages
  • Experience defining & implementing new processes and tools to improve product quality and team productivity
  • Strong technical experience in one of the following areas : workforce management applications, analytics, web development, mobile and data collection
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, values and practices
  • Ability to attract top talent and plan for succession; demonstrated success in motivating and cultivating high performing teams and instituting change where needed
  • Decisive and effective at issue tracking and resolution
  • Demonstrate high intellect, high integrity, positive energy, and the ability to energize others.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
