Mission

Position : IAAS Dy. Head of Operating Systems

The function covers managing Operating systems chapter under Infrastructure As A Service tribe.

We are working to deliver private cloud infrastructure services for the bank with resilient, agile IT, security to meet our current and future business needs.

Providing effective leadership to the service delivery team to ensure that processes and controls are in place to meet business needs.

Position is responsible to

  • Manage people, delivery and transformation under Operating Systems team under IaaS.
  • Manage production operations, project delivery and OS tooling
  • Managing 100% production uptime with strong focus to improve KPIs
  • Transforming traditions support teams to end of line operations support, engineering and development skill
  • Work with global stakeholders to engage with the business and assisting in the translation of business strategy into a solution vision, and identifying a solution.
  • Implementing governance processes, ensuring risks are measured and logged.
  • Developing skilled resources to deliver projects with complete end-end ownership.
  • Developing engineering and automation skills
  • Optimizing delivery costs without compromising on quality and timelines
  • Managing complexity and risks in the projects
  • Collaborate with leadership and build strong work relations
  • Responsible for managing the architecture, Security and Transformation function :

  • Leading and managing operating systems team and delivery
  • Managing Incident, Problem and Capacity management.
  • Ensuring high levels of performance, accurate reporting and escalation processes.
  • Establishing continuous service improvement plans.
  • Strategize and improve delivery with continuous improvement plans
  • Ensure that appropriate controls, processes, documentation and procedures are in place and followed with time to time reviews.
  • To make recommendations for service improvement plans and ensure actions are followed through to completion in a timely manner.
  • To be accountable for the quality of service and performance, ensuring future demand from growth and projects is understood and factored into capacity plans.
  • Be part of the local and global governance to provide visibility on deliverables, KPIs, projects status updates and performance reviews

  • Excellent knowledge on operating systems, layered software, networking, security and complainces
  • ITIL V3 qualifications
  • Experience in core and cloud infrastructure
  • oCloud technologies like IAAS, PAAS, SAAS, Containers

    oHardware, Operating systems, database and application technology and trends

    oNetwork and datacenter technologies

  • Experience in managing security, risk and compliance
  • Experience and exposure on lean six-sigma, Agile models (Scrum ,SAFe) or SRE models
  • Project management skills
