Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop efficient and high-quality code while meeting product release deadlines
  • Translate architectural vision into the design and delivery of a functioning system
  • Ensure adherence to architectural and design standards
  • Prepare time estimates for projects and software design plans
  • Responsible for working with the project managers in planning the sprints, providing feedback and communicating any obstacles.
  • Lead, prepare good technical design documentation and technical approach
  • Learn, implement newer frameworks to exhibit value-adds v / s existing system
  • Contribute in grooming the team technically and provide guidance to peers and the team.
  • Perform peer code reviews of self, peers and engineers; verify extensibility, reusability and maintainability
  • Individual must be proactive, self-motivated with ability to prioritize multiple project tasks setting priorities to complete tasks within set timeline
  • Practice and implement unit level tests.
  • Production Support & Maintenance activities :
  • Respond quickly to support issues and follow-up till resolution
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and provide quick resolution to production problems
  • Follow up and provide timely reporting on issues to management
  • Good to have AWS knowledge and experience
  • Ability and keen on picking up newer concepts like AI / ML, Data Science etc. and technologies
  • Skills (Mandatory)

  • 8+ years of background in software development with Java technologies
  • 6+ years of experience with J2EE framework-based development
  • 6+ years working extensively with large relational database such as Oracle
  • 5+ years of UI (Javascript, Angular, Python) & XML and related technologies
  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum, Iterative, TDD, Usecase driven development
  • Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Application Server (WebSphere / Tomcat), Oracle, XML / XSLT, Unix (Linux) platform
  • Application of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques and implementation.
  • Experience in extensive use of source control tools such as TFS, GIT etc
  • Experience with Build tools such as Ant, IVY, Maven, Gradle, etc
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Junit / Mockito and continuous integration testing with Cruise Control / Junit
  • Ability to interact effectively within and across other teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Skills (Desired)

  • Working knowledge of AWS
  • Database Experience with strong knowledge of writing complex SQL scripts, NoSQL will be added advantage
  • Strong technical acumen and communications skills
  • Background in Test Driven Development, pair programming, and other agile / XP methodologies preferred
  • Education

  • Ideal candidate should possess BE (preferably with Computer Science background) or Masters of Computer Applications degree from reputed institution
