About Our Client
Our client is one of the world's largest energy companies. They have a strong presence in India employing around 7500 people (both direct and indirect staff).
They are currently looking for a Health Manager to be based out of their corporate office in Mumbai.
Reporting to the Vice President, you will be responsible for :
Developing and implementing a local risk-based Health Plan, Occupational and Industrial Hygiene systems, policies, procedures and services for the business.
Defining, assessing and developing health capability and competencies across India businesses aligned to Group Health requirements as well as mentoring and coaching site health professionals, HSE managers and employees.
Providing assurance on health compliance and management by the businesses.
Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to identify chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic and psychological health hazards in the work environment and driving development and implementation of risk reduction measures and action plans.
Ensuring compliance with the company's Code of Conduct and demonstrating strong leadership through the company's Leadership Expectations and Values & Behaviors.
Acting as an account manager for health / medical service providers as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with local and central & local governmental health departments, approved hospitals and clinics, specialists and OH & IH professional organizations.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate should have a medical degree (MBBS) with licence to practice in India. He / She should have at least 20 years of experience working in an oil & gas or manufacturing set-up, with at least 5 years' exposure in a leadership / management role.
He / She should also have an internationally recognised post graduate degree / diploma in Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene.
He / She should have good organisational, communication and presentation skills with fluency in English language.
