Manager, Operational Finance
Finance Operations provides a diverse range of services to the other areas of Finance, namely Controllers and Business Partners.
At any point in time, our stakeholders have a variety of project requests to streamline their processes, enable more effective analysis of the financials, and provide financial & management information more rapidly to the business segments.
These projects need to be managed in a professional, timely, and standardized manner.
As a Manager within the Finance Operations Project Management Office (PMO), you will be a Project Manager primarily responsible for working to effectively deliver projects throughout Finance Operations.
The Project Manager will drive the planning and execution of new project initiatives. The role is a critical coordinator and driver within the central Project Management function..

What will your essential responsibilities include?
Coordinate all project management activities including project planning, scoping, requirements gathering, design, testing, production migration, and post-
production project review
Project management certifications (e.g. PMP / Prince 2) are highly desirable
Identify appropriate project resources and manage the project team
Monitor & drive key milestones
Budgeting and tracking project financials
Triage, track and help resolve risks & issues, including escalation as required
Compile status report inputs and facilitate project status meetings
Transcribe and distribute meeting minutes
Prepare consolidated project dashboard portraying key metrics for all Finance Operations projects
Develop leadership and executive presentations across various levels of the organization

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills :
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience exhibiting proficiency in managing medium to large projects across multiple function areas and geographic regions
Expertise in driving projects to a timely, on-budget, and successful delivery
Ability to manage 3rd party contractors
Knowledge of Finance Operations processes, procedures, and applications
Working knowledge of Controller processes and related financial statement preparation is an advantage
Collaborative approach; Seeks input from others to achieve the best result possible. Capable of working and collaborating with colleagues virtually
Proficiency with Microsoft tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Keen attention to detail - able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Has an excellent documentation skill
Is solutions driven. Approaches tasks proactively and anticipates needs
Good time management. Has a sense of personal accountability and a can do, will do attitude
Insurance industry experience preferred
