The Credit Portfolio Senior Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to monitor the Citi portfolio and identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team.

The overall objective of this role is to lead the management of Citi's portfolio exposure to client and counterparties globally.

Responsibilities :

  • Managing a group of analysts within the GIRC / FIRM space for one or two of the industry / regional teams. (Hiring, Training, performance management, evaluation and monitoring).
  • Building strong relationships with counterparts in GIRC / FIRM units across regions.
  • Ability to recommend credit decisions to Senior credit officers in managing their portfolios and take decisions as credit officers.
  • Manage Portfolio Exposure related Exceptions and recommending corrective action to Risk and Business
  • Participate in Fundamental Credit Review related processes (both pre- and post) and work closely with the Risk managers in resolving any Business Issues / Work paper comments highlighted
  • Responsible for industry analysis and developing domain expertise for focus industry vertical including the preparation of industry dashboard & Global stress tests and portfolio reviews.
  • Leading the Portfolio reviews for all the sub-industry groups within the broad industry / regional unit.
  • Establish and maintain consistent standards and processes in credit analysis through interaction with industry specialists and analysts globally;
  • Overall responsibility for both individual and industry analysis for each of the analysts in the team
  • Managing the team workflow and ensure timely completion of assigned activities and maintaining the productivity standards of the team.
  • Involvement in strategic initiatives / projects at the IRAU level
  • Lead the User Acceptance Testing (UATs) for the Risk systems and contribute towards building a user friendly system
  • Interacting with the similar industry groups across IRAUs in order to share best practices, streamline processes and implementing it in their respective teams.
  • Qualifications :

  • 6-9 years of experience in analyzing corporate borrowers, or being involved in the delivery of structured solutions to customers;
  • Understanding of the dynamics of an industry;
  • Cash flow and forecasting / stress testing analytics;
  • Financial modeling experience excel spreadsheets;
  • Excellent understanding of financial statements and accounting standards;
  • Excellent understanding of legal systems and documentation
  • Good knowledge of corporate lending and treasury products
  • Good understanding of local and global financial markets and trends
  • Team Management capabilities.
  • Build strong relationship across all levels in Risk / Business.

  • Bachelor's degree / University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
