The automation team leader role is a critical role within Automation and Tools Development team, focused on expanding automation test coverage to deliver high-quality products to customers.
This leader has to drive the development of highly scalable test automation and execution of test coverage for releases.
This leader has to interact with Development and QA managers to define automation roadmaps, drive execution, and communicate progress with stakeholders.
The team works on some of the most challenging problems in test automation like - display drivers, multimedia, video-streaming, virtualization, Linux kernel, Machine Learning, etc.
What you’ll be doing :
You will manage a team of highly-skilled, highly motivated engineers, working on the automation of end-user tests and developing tools to solve challenges in test automation.
Interact with the partners to define and drive an automation strategy for assigned areas.
Develop new frameworks and drive continuous improvement in the existing framework to build scalable and reliable automation framework.
Design review, code review, provide technical direction to the group in all phases of automation development.
Plan and execute automation coverage for various software releases.
Define team goals and drive towards achieving those.
What we want to see :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related field.
5+ years of team management and 10+ years of overall experience.
Demonstrated ability to deliver large scale software / automation development.
Proven experience leading and managing a team.
Proficient in C++, Java, Python programming, and hands-on experience writing object-oriented code using either of the technologies.
Expertise in Linux Internals, hypervisors, or cloud infrastructures.
Zeal to continuously strive for improving operational efficiency.
Way to stand out from crowd :
Knowledge of Computer Vision libraries and Deep Learning techniques.
Exposure to Deep Learning and Machine Learning technologies and usage of Deep Learning frameworks.
Prior experience working in the automotive / autonomous vehicle domain.
Track record of improving software quality via test automation.
