The Asia Pacific Payroll function is responsible forsuccessfully delivering an accurate and timely payroll across all locations inAsia Pacific, and in compliance with local laws and reporting requirements.

ThePayroll team supports all employees and work closely with other HR functions,control partners and payroll vendors.

We are seeking a hardworking and dynamic individual who hasa control and compliance attitude with the ability to keep pace with thechanging regulatory environment.

Reporting into the Asia Pacific PayrollDelivery Lead, you will support payroll delivery for assigned countries withinthe Asia Pacific region.

  • Assist in monthly payroll processing including review of payroll results from payroll vendors.
  • Support in the monthly, quarterly, yearly regulatory and internal reviews and sign-offs.
  • Assist with the management of funding in Payroll bank account to ensure no bank overdraft and sufficient fund for payroll cycle.
  • Reconciliation of Bank Summary report / Payment Listing and ensure payments are duly authorized and release on time.
  • Review of Tax Returns, ensure Tax Filing are submitted promptly. Ensure Withholding Tax are paid to authority promptly.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for bank statement, pension, withholding report and others month end reporting.
  • Prepare payroll account journal and liaise with Payroll Accounting team for any accounting matter.
  • Assist in monitoring of vendor Key Performance Indicator and holding monthly post mortem with payroll vendor.
  • Responsible for reporting any control issue on a timely basis to direct reporting lead and suggest with resolutions.
  • Strive for operational perfection and always on the lookout for ideas to increase performance.
  • Maintain an effective customer service focus to resolve queries from employees, other HR functions and control partners as well as external parties such as local tax authority, payroll vendors.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects.
  • The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate amajority of the following criteria :

  • You will possess knowledge of payroll principles, practices and procedures in Asia Pacific.
  • You have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with payroll tax, social security agreements, or accounting including analyzing processes and controls, planning improvements, leading changes and balancing priorities.
  • Experience with People soft, Microsoft Office Suite, ADP or other payroll systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willing to learn and committed to support others.
