About the Impact Measurement Senior Associate Role
IDinsight Senior Associates are high-performing early-career professionals passionate to experience the front-line realities of evidence-based policymaking.
We seek a smart, resilient and team-oriented individual who is highly motivated to improve lives at scale by using better data to make better decisions across IDinsight.
The Impact Measurement Senior Associate will initially join a Manager and Director on the Impact Management Team, which is expected to grow in size as needs evolve.
As part of a new team, the Senior Associate will be a self-starter who can skillfully simultaneously manage multiple responsibilities, balance stakeholder needs, and demonstrate flexibility in their role as it evolves alongside the team.
The responsibilities for this role would include :
Questionnaire design, piloting and refinement : collect high quality data on past and present IDinsight projects
Indicator selection : develop and continuously refine impact indicators following strong indicator selection practices
Data piping and managemen t : create a system to manage, clean, and organise impact data to build dashboards and conduct analyses
Data analysis : generate insights for internal clients including the CEO, the management group, global and regional operations, client-facing leadership teams in all regions, and project teams
Data visualisation : generate and refine data visualisations that effectively communicate insights to internal clients, likely through interactive dashboards
Project and client management : manage project flow between impact measurement team and internal clients
Publication developmen t : develop analyses and publications that we can share with external partners
Service growth : support team to expand internal services to include knowledge management and project efficiency
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, get stuff done teammate with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Desired Qualifications include :
Deeply passionate about global development and improving human capabilities for all
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years work experience; prior experience working on monitoring systems (or components such as indicator selection, data analysis, database management, data visualisation & dashboard building) will be valued
Excited to test new ideas and approaches
Adaptive to evolving project needs and unpredictable challenges related to building and launching new systems
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively and inclusively engage with a variety of internal clients
Exceptional analytical skills to generate high-quality insights tailored to internal client needs; ability to use statistical software like Stata or R will be valued
Able to quickly learn new data management and visualisation software (PowerBI, Airtable, etc.) as required by the project
Motivated by evidence-informed systems improvement and organisational change management
