About the role
As Sales Director, you will be accountable for creating value through driving sales and developing strong relationship with key customers in India, Nepal, Srilanka & Bhutan.
You will create the legacy of Bacardi and drive the company’s presence and growth in the Country. Your deep Commercial knowledge, ability to develop strategic relationships and lead a Sales team will be key to your success in this role.
In addition, you will be a member of the India Leadership Team, which discusses all critical issues pertaining to India business & provides strategic guidance. In this role, you will :
Be responsible to develop sales strategies and deliver key revenue for the country as determined by the long term strategic business plan for the market
Be responsible for preparing sales forecasts; establish targets in areas such as product mix, sales volume, market share or business development and monitor the performance
Deliver Bacardi Commercial Way assets and approach with excellence to activate our brands to influence consumers at the point of purchase.
Liaise with cross functional leaders to ensure that sales strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and aligned with the overall country objectives.
Be accountable for the overall sales budget; cost and effectiveness of sales activities to optimize resources and prioritize spending.
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the organisation’s sales force to achieve established sales and profit goals.You will be based in Gurgaon, with frequent travel within India.
WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO :
Deliver on key financial targets (NSV, Gross Margin, Sales Overheads, Profitability, ROI)
Deliver on Pictures of Success (PoS) targets for India to deliver excellence in execution
Develop and manage the sales plan for India based on delivery of Commercial priorities and the Country Integrated Activity Plan (IAP)
Manage territory / channel / account performance on a monthly / quarterly basis to ensure delivery of forecast and budget (volume / value / execution) in line with Country Financials
Deliver impact from customer and purchaser programs agreed in the Country IAP, managing resources and capacity against KPIs and territory targets
Build and maintain effective long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders
Manage price plans, discount plans and budgets
Work with the team leaders to build a shared sense of purpose among your sales teams
Align teams behind the targets and create a passion for winning in the organization
Skills and Experience
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY :
At present, a leader of an iconic brand or portfolio of brands at a senior level in a global organization with responsibility to make strategic decisions for increasing revenue and profitability
Experience in leadership roles within a matrix organization
Proficient in handling all financial aspects of country budgets including P&L accountability, channel strategies leading to continuous brand-pack-channel mix optimization driving NSV and GP per case
Experience in leading commercial strategy with a strong knowledge of the Indian consumer and market conditions
Comfortable in leading Commercial teams on the Where to Play and How to Win brand / channel strategies and plans
Experience in driving large scale initiatives to build sales capability, automation of sales processes
Experience in designing GTM / RTM strategies in complex and new markets and products
People developer and team builder with a proficient desire and ability to embrace diversity of thinking EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
15-20 years of experience with at least 5 years in national level Sales leadership role. Alcoholic Beverage background is preferred or should have experience in working with consumer centric organisations, lifestyle brands
Understanding of regulation and industry dynamics
People leadership experience including proven coaching abilities and the ability to create and maintain a collaborative high performing team
