The System Specialist 5 is an entry level role responsible for assisting with LAN / WAN and help desk administration activities, including network maintenance, technical guidance, and security in coordination with the Technology Infrastructure team.
The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process and analyze data.
Assist in the resolution of relatively complex end user problems; work with engineering and / or applications development area(s) to resolve more complex issues
Operate, monitor, troubleshoot and restore console systems and equipment such as printers, disk drives and tape readers
Schedule production runs, perform system backup process and disaster recovery tests
Assist in conducting user acceptance testing of new programs and maintain records and production reports
Identify ways to improve effectiveness
Ensure that all phases of technology assistance are coordinated, monitored, logged, tracked, and resolved appropriately
Regularly exchange relatively complex information with team and provide informal technical training to new team members
Assess the applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
2-4 years of prior related technology experience
Demonstrated Technical knowledge
Effective written and communication skills
High School diploma or equivalent
