As a Asst test manager you will work as part of a our wider Testing team implementing the overall test strategy and quality process.

In this role you will :

Lead testing activities within your team, setting out the test plan and schedule

Learn our applications and become expert in testing specific products and components.

Ensure the overall test suite is sufficient to ensure a high quality product

Work closely with your team to help them get the software right first time

Estimate the effort for testing product backlog items in relative or absolute units

Define test cases, implement and execute them using manual and automation tools

Test for accuracy, suitability, interoperability, usability and accessibility

Accurate recording and reporting of software defects and retesting of resolved issues

Deliver test reports documenting the results of the testing process

Input into product design to improve testability, and the product as a whole.

Evaluate and confirm externally reported software failures in production

Review and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing practice within your team

Participate in the quality assurance community of practice, sharing and adopting better techniques and technology

About you

You share our passion for all things connected with software development and an avid interest in technology. As a Associate test manager you have a sharp eye for detail and work well as part of the wider software engineering team to help them deliver reliable and high quality software products.

You establish productive working relationships with your team and other colleagues, both technical and non - technical. You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team to deliver on shared commitments.

You are a self - starter and able to plan and manage your own workload. You enjoy working with technologies that are new to you, and taking on additional roles that help the team make progress.

You have sound understanding and experience with :

Proven experience of manually testing web, desktop applications and root cause analysis

Iterative software development awareness (Agile methodologies)

Gherkin / Behaviour - driven development (BDD) awareness

Ability to take ownership and be a pro - active member of the team

Ability to record and report test results accurately, with clear analysis and reporting of defects

Methodical approach to executing existing test scripts where applicable

Provide input into the test and project release processes, and continuous improvement

Competence to work alone and with an appropriate level of supervision and guidance

Capability to develop a strong working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders

Effective communication of ideas and information, both verbally and in writing

Ability to Analyse information to identify problems and issues and make effective decisions

Ability to plan and organise workload efficiently, working to strict deadlines

Motivation to succeed and progress within the Quality Assurance world

Experience of the following would be an advantage :

Performing non - functional testing for reliability, performance, scalability, soak, security and stress, including appropriate tools and frameworks and exposure to JMeter

Testing in regulated environments and working within compliance programmes.

Information security and requirements for safely handling personal data

Automation testing experience.

Duties The Associate Project Manager will champion delivering technical projects on time

and within budget and weave various Services into compelling business

systems for our clients.,
