Converts business needs into formal Business Requirements. Acts as liaison between business units / clients and technical teams, converts the business needs into systems requirements and related documentation.
Should be comfortable discussing business needs, be capable of engaging in meaningful conversation with business or functional teams and clients, gather business needs in detail, understand the broad requirement and tie them to the detailed needs.
Be capable of breaking up the requirements into detailed components, trace business requirements into systems of Functional requirements and there on to High level design documents.
Be capable of asking the right questions from an all-round perspective to ensure business requirements are gathered in full.
Should also have the capability to build summary and detailed requirements devolving user management, reporting Integration etc which are normally not detailed by users / clients.
Good written and spoken communication skills a must. Should also be good at selling solutions, concepts and making presentations.
Should exude confidence.
Should have worked on process optimization and simplification processes and implemented process changes and related application changes.
Should be extremely comfortable with the change management process in application development
