About Wells Fargo (EGS) India Solutions

We are hiring for a position in EGS Delivery in India. EGS stands for Wells Fargo's Enterprise Global Services. We are a critical component of the Wells Fargo strategy to leverage distinct advantages of a global environment.

Legally, we are known as Wells Fargo (EGS) India Solutions. Currently we are 12000+ strong team members with 3 locations (Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad) in India and 1 center in Manila.

Department Overview

Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation / Community Bank Technology within the Enterprise Information Technology business provides strategic technology solutions to the both the PVSI and Community Banking lines of business, including application design, development, and support.

About the Role

Work as part of L1 Application monitoring team.

Use of this job code requires EIT executive sponsor approval. Provides technical systems support within a technology organization.

  • Duties are varied and may include one or more of the following : provides support for routine technical issues and initiatives related to assigned applications, systems, databases and / or other technical products and services;
  • uses diagnostic tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore standard service or data to systems and escalates as appropriate to meet established service level agreements;
  • assists with routine migrations from development to production, upgrades or installations; may write basic queries to extract data and validates data loads;
  • may assist with project sizing efforts; updates documentation and procedures; troubleshoots network, hardware and software issues under close supervision and escalates problems;
  • understands BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas.


  • L1 production support for mission critical application like ATM / PoS (Point of Sale) 16*7
  • Analyzes highly complex business logic, understand technical specifications to troubleshoot medium to complex application issues.
  • Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts towards IT simplification.
  • Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.
  • Takes care of application side of tasks during Change and Release Management.
  • Take care of Incident and Problem management for Application.
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.
  • 1+ years application Support in L3 model, prior development in java based application is preferred.
  • Strong in using standard monitoring and Log research tools like Splunk, AppD.
  • Should have understanding at Middleware Apache & Tomcat.
  • Essential Qualifications

    1) Development background CoreJava, Apache & Tomcat Experience in supporting Java based applications.

    2) SQL& PL / SQL - Expertise in writing SQL and PL / SQL code, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers etc.

    3) Unix / Linux Write Shell / PERL scripts proficiently and aware of most of the advanced / networking commands

    4) Prior experience working in Production application / environment management.

    5) Excellent Communication Skills

    6) ATM / POS / Payments Domain experience
