Short Description

Incumbent will be responsible in supporting Regulatory compliance and all issues related to Electrical system compliance which includes compliance with policy, regulation acts etc.

Incumbent will work in area under guidance and support from TL Regulatory Compliance & Electrical

Job Accountabilities

Delivery accountability :

  • Data management of Regulation, policy, important orders, codes & standards, etc. Regular monitoring of key developments in power sector and appraising the same to seniors.
  • Initial assessment on impact on cost of power on account of changes in Regulations, tariff policy, electricity duty and cess, Cross Subsidy Surcharge etc.
  • Study and communicate of any new circulars, tariff orders, orders by ERCs, SEBs, GOM, such as RPO, RE power, Electricity Tariff, Electricity Duty, EA 2003 etc
  • Review changes in Regulation and provide draft briefs for legal counsel on matters challenged in courts / Regulators. Analyse relevant orders issued in the past which may have relations in ongoing legal disputes.
  • Monitor various websites of relevant ministries, government departments, state and central Regulatory Commissions, developments in the power sector in India, new capacity additions in generation and transmissions, new technologies usages etc.
  • Prepare and circulate regular updates for the group related to power sector.

    Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

  • Understanding and right interpretation of Regulation and policy and advice suitable measures or inputs based on which key commercial decisions can be taken.
  • Management of key data / information
  • Timely submission of applications and response on legal disputes or in matter related to policy advocacy
  • Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)


  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, Good understanding of Indian power sector. Good Understanding of Electrical system
  • Qualifications

  • BE / B Tech in Electrical Engineering with experience in Electrical Regulatory activities in Power Sector, Distribution sector etc.
  • Should have good knowledge of Power supply code, Tariff Regulation, Open access regulation etc.
