About the role Reporting to the CEO New Zealand, and with a matrix report to the Head of Client & Broker Engagement, APAC, you have responsibility for managing the broker channel for both Commercial and Consumer, as well as managing the companys management relationships with clients and brokers.
This is critical to ensure AIG executes a clearly defined go-to-market distribution strategy to deliver sustained growth by segment and that we deliver on, and articulate a compelling value proposition to clients, colleagues and brokers, working in partnership, driving revenue growth and leveraging data and analytics.

Working with defined brokers to develop profitable retention and growth strategies, including Product, industry or segment initiatives in alignment with Profit Centre Risk Appetite Broker segment driven initiatives with key National and International Brokers Account targeting and pipeline management initiatives Broker service and engagement plans incl.
regular business review meetings Joint marketing initiatives including conventions and seminars Client Management You will apply stewardship to your resources to develop and execute sales strategies which improve key client retention and penetration, including Relationship management with key clients Client seminars, conferences and other strategies to maximise client interaction Multinational Account Development You are responsible for promoting AIGs Multinational value proposition to brokers, clients and Brokers Strategic Marketing Responsible for developing and executing strategies which Develop and bolster AIGs brand with brokers and clients Develop and promote our unique selling points or differentiation Demonstrate our expertise, particularly in respect of Commercial Lines Operations You are responsible for ensuring that respective Profit Centres (Commercial & Consumer) follow regionally mandated best practices in the sales process, specifically including use of Analytics such as Salesforce and Factiva / Dow Jones.
Your operational responsibilities extend to creating and managing an inclusive relationship with colleagues in other departments, including Claims, CSG, FP&A, O&S, Legal, and any other service centre, furnishing them with such assistance as is required to enable them to perform their functions.
Team Leadership You are responsible for ensuring that your staff are competent in their role, aware of their responsibilities, and receive appropriate training and development both from yourself, HR and / or external sources to be able to execute their duties.
