Job overview :

The HPE Software Development Engineer Data Storage and AI led Predictive Support Analytics is a senior engineer responsible for building world class products for automating the support and self-healing of the HPE 3PAR storage arrays with AI.

The position / person is responsible for design and implementing a high quality software that fuel the autonomous supportability of HPE Storage leveraging advanced AI technologies.

The position entails collaboration with peer engineers, cross functional teams like product management, release management, documentation and senior technical and management leadership, to help realize the product and its releases from conception to delivery.

The engineering specialist will have significant experience with AI / Deep Learning / Machine Learning implementation using a variety of data mining / data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using / creating algorithms and creating / running simulations.

The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets.

The position also demands hands-on with modern DevOps tools and processes and highly proficient with modern software programming languages like Python, GoLang and / or Java for productizing the concept.

What You'll Do :

  • Identify valuable data sources based on domain knowledge and by working with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data and perform EDA to discover trends and patterns on large datasets.
  • Optimize the processes for scaling to Big-Data scale of dataset.

  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms on these datasets. Develop custom data models and algorithms , combine models through ensemble modelling etc based on the needs.
  • Present information using data visualization techniques for explaining and justifying the models and analysis.
  • Develop testing framework for testing model quality. Come up with processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy.
  • Productise the data science work by developing a software for the deployment and hosting of the models for other partner teams to consume.
  • This will include hands-on work in software development including designing and implementation of the solution as well as dev-ops for deployment of the solution.

  • Propose solutions and strategies to complex business challenges and be responsible for the end to end conceptualization, development and productization of the machine learning solution.
  • Embrace 'agile' methodologies and deliver within the constructs of an agile SCRUM team.
  • Our Minimum Skill and Qualification Requirements for this role are

    BE / MS in Computer Science from leading engineering institutions in India / abroad. Graduates / PGs of tier1 institutions only(IIT / NIT preferred)

  • 4 to 7 years of product development experience in the Storage domain Management software and AI led Support Automation solutions
  • Experience in developing ML-led data management products
  • Advanced AI and ML technologies / SMACK stacks
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.
  • and their real-world advantages / drawbacks

  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.
  • and experience with applications.

  • S / W Languages Python / Scala / Java
  • Design frameworks - REST based architectures
  • Parallel programming and debugging skill
  • Experience with Big Data Messaging middleware
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including verification strategies
  • Well versed with Agile development process and should able to drive high standards towards quality of products being delivered Should be able to handle ambiguity and provide meaningful direction to the team
