EssentialDuties and Responsibilities (Key Activities of the role)

  • The Risk Manager takesfull responsibility in the implementation of all Safety,Security and Risk Management programs for the purpose of protectingall company assets, including guests, colleagues and visitors.
  • Interact with guests andcolleagues as well as individuals outside the hotel including, but not limitedto Law Enforcement Agencies, Government Officials, other Security Managers andmembers of the local community.
  • Implement a structuredreview process of existing security policies and procedures as required afterconsultation with senior management.
  • Develop and implementstrategies to protect company assets, including loss preventionawareness.
  • Develop training in firelife safety and other approved safety programs, such as Bomb threats, SecurityAwareness, Anti-
  • terrorism practices, First response fire fighting training,Evacuations and Health & Safety awareness.

  • Develops and directs theimplementation of emergency guidelines and evacuation procedures.
  • Carry out Fire LifeSafety Risk Assessments for all special events and functions as required withinIHG standards.
  • Maintain the IHG FireLife Safety Risk Management calendar, including compliance checks on all Headsof Departments.
  • Ensure Quality EvaluationAudits achieve and maintain 100% compliance.
  • Continuously monitor theIHG Threat Vulnerability Awareness to ensure compliance with recommendations.
  • To update and ensure theCrisis Management Team are fully aware of the requirements of Hotel CrisisManagement Manual.
  • Implementation of FSMS
  • To be fully familiarwith local Food Hygiene and FSMS guidelines
  • Maintains records ofFood Safety and Hygiene related forms, checks and Audits.
  • Conduct hygiene audit ofall kitchen associates and provide feedback
  • Conduct regular spotchecks on food items received for temperature abuse.
  • Knowledgeable todecision and problem solving skills
  • Inspect food holding andtransport equipment.
  • Checking that all fooditems for storage are covered, dated, labeled
  • Checking the rotation offoods Ensuring FIFO
  • Conducts daily kitcheninspections on the personal, environmental and food hygiene conditions andprovides a corrective action plan and keeps records on the findings.
  • Checks daily cleaningstatus in kitchens with respective kitchen managers and stewarding
  • Ensures the temperatureof refrigerators and freezers are up to the standard.
  • Coordinates microbialfood tests with kitchens and laboratory in case of new products / suppliers andsuspected food borne illness complaints.
  • Conducts vendorinspection with the Purchasing and Executive Chef
  • Liaises with PestControl Company and HK for any pest issues in the operations, and reviews thepest control performance.
  • Maintains and makesimprovements to hygiene standards.
  • Maintains documentationon all hygiene and food safety standards throughout the operation
  • Works closely with theTraining Manager and conducts Food Handlers Training sessions to all foodhandlers.
  • Regularly review andrefresh the food safety standards of all food handlers within the hotelpremises
  • Qualifications

    As an ideal candidate forthis position, you should have strong background in Risk Management. You shouldbe operationally oriented with strong emphasis on facility management,demonstrated leadership abilities with a team oriented approach and exhibitexcellent communication skills, both written and orally.

    You should havecompleted any Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology will be anadded advantage. You should have gained experience for at least 3 years inthe similar role from a reputable company.
