We are looking for an exceptionally talented system softwareengineer to join the NAS storage development and performance simulation team,with proven track record of File System performance engineering work.
Essential Skills :
Excellent Linuxand Windows OS skills related to File system calls, kernel space, user space.
File systemdeveloper with proficiency in C / C++ or Python.
Familiarity withany of the enterprise storage filesystems like ZFS or GPFS or OneFS or otherfile system internals.
Design, Develop,Deploy, Configure and Test the NAS (CIFS / NFS) storage in On-Prem or on cloudwith good understanding of SAMBA / SMB / CIFS and NFS protocol.
Knowledge ofobject storage and able to correlate with latest cloud object storage in GCP,Azure.
I / O Workload andperformance analysis on enterprise storage systems.
Hands onexperience working in either of Azure, AWS or GCP environment.
Workingexperience on any of the Storage performance simulator tools like FIO, Vdbench,IOzone, IOmeter.
Able to automatestorage performance test by using opensource tools and scripting.
Good knowledgeon key storage features like snapshot, replication, deduplication, compression,storage tiering etc.
Competent withat least one of the following scripting languages; Python, bash, powershell.
Knowledge ofperformance analysis of storage solutions and how it relates to the hosts,network, application stack.
Excellentdocumentation skills in creating test procedures, workflows, diagrams andcustomer facing white papers.
Experience inDev / Ops deployment pipeline.
Excellenttroubleshooting skills on enterprise storage solutions and proficient withONTAP CLIs, OneFS CLIs or any other storage solution CLI worked on.
Preferred Skills :
Experience withvirtualization and container platforms (Docker, VMWare, KVM, Kubernetes, etc)
Infrastructureknowledge as code platforms (Terraform, SaltStack)
Familiarity withinfrastructure automation and monitoring tools.
Soft Skills :
Team player withpositive attuite.
Able to workindependently and collaboratively with other stake holder for deliverables
Willingness to learntechnology out of core competency.
Result oriented.
Academic Qualifications :
Ideal candidatemust have Engineering degree in CS / EE / EC from reputed institute.
Have at-least 6+years of experience working with reputed organizations.
