ITID IAM function is a globally managed function that ensuresHSBC IT infrastructure and applications are managed and run to industry leadingstandards.

This is achieved through anIT IAM process framework and toolset and by measuring, monitoring and reportingon both adherence to standards and quality of IT service performance.

The IAM function executes access managementprocesses and supports execution teams across HOST IT.The IAM function’s primary purpose is tocontinuously manage Access provisioning and de-

provisioning.IAM consists of a number of global andregional teams supported by this IAM Technology AD role.

IAM Provide subject matter expertise on theplatform for AD

  • Drive prioritization of remediation efforts of incidents of none compliance based on internal risk and compliance requirements
  • Track and report on remediation efforts to ITID management, highlighting risks to the remediation program
  • Create a robust escalation process designed to highlight new areas of none compliance to ITID management
  • This role presents the opportunity towork in a busy and challenging environment. The team provides oversight andcoordination of IAM AD SME knowledge.

    The successful individual will beresponsible for providing subject matter expertise for all matters relating toAccess for AD

  • Previous experience working within an IAM function preferable
  • SME knowledge of Active Directory
  • Solid understanding of Windows Security and Permissions
  • Proven experience of motivating others to deliver exceptional performance and long terms results
  • Proven experience of dealing with large data sets, performing analysis and providing MI reports
  • A flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself and others
  • Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
  • A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
  • Experience of creating and deploying concurrent comprehensive business / operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
  • Knowledge of PowerShell is desirable

    The job holder will not be subject to close supervision so will be expected to exercise initiative in proactively overcoming obstacles to success.

    oExcellent understanding of one or more of the following :

    oHOST financial planning and cost management policy, processes and tools

    oHOST shared services, rate setting, billing and cost recovery concepts

    oHOST headcount management, GMIS, recruitment and people performance management

    oHOST operational risk and compliance policy, processes and tools

    oUnderstanding of ITID global operating model would be an advantage

    oUnderstanding of ITIL Service Management framework would be an advantage

    oFor financial planning and cost recovery activities excellent numeracy and MS Excel skills are required


    oExcellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills; equal focus on verbal and written communications

    oExcellent decision making and problem solving ability

    oStrong analytical skills to understand and use metrics to draw conclusions

    oAbility to make recommendations to upper management, based both on subjective and objective information consulting skills

    oAccustomed to working with little direction, self-starter, highly organized and able to prioritise multiple concurrent workstreams and challenging deadlines

    oNavigating understanding and translating ITID COO processes into IAM P&G and IAM sub-function activity, drawing on network of contacts to identify and achieve optimal efficiencies and outcomes
