Utilise your Mainframe Operations expertise to help manage and optimise ANZs core mainframe development and production systems Take the lead in designing and refining reliable processes and procedures that ensure stable systems Technically review processes and procedures to reduce manuality and enhance automation wherever possible About The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mainframe Operations Specialist to take the lead in managing and enhancing all aspects of the processes and procedures associated with the Development and Production batch systems.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to Develop, test, support, maintain and monitor Control-M scheduling for Batch, Reporting and File Transfers on Mainframe and Distributed (server) platforms Provision the SDLC (Service Delivery Life Cycle) environments (Production / System Test / Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) / Performance and Verification (P&V) and Education) for Systematics and VisionPlus Technically review, analyse, enhance and improve processes and procedures, with a focus on automation to reduce manuality, ensuring maximum efficiency and accuracy for the Operations Analyst Team Monitor and support Production and Development batch executions across all platforms and resolve incidents Design, develop, maintain, refine, automate and document reliable processes and procedures that ensure stable systems and batch - ensuring these processes are presented in a format that is clear and simple for the user to follow Maintain own high skill levels of all Operations Analyst team processes, tools and deliverables, understand other team processes and mentor colleagues in these, to mitigate knowledge risk.

Role Location Wellington Role Type Full Time, 6 months, Fixed Term Hours Standard business hours with scope for flexible work options About You You will be a seasoned mainframe specialist with extensive knowledge of IBM mainframe architecture and system software.

You will have had at least 5 years experience as an Operations Support Analyst, Shift Operator and / or a Systems Programmer in an IBM z / OS Mainframe Operating Environment.

  • To grow and be successful in this role, it is essential for you to have a demonstrably high level of skill and understanding in the following areas;
