    Manager Compute Operations Responsible to Compute Ops Sr Director for the delivery of effective Data Centre system support for GTS Global Data Centers (LDC, FDC & SDC) and PepsiCo facility server rooms, Servers, Storage, and Automation to address business goals and operational requirements.

    Qualifications / RequirementsFunctional Responsibilities : Partner with Service Providers, PepsiCo local facility teams and key stakeholders to ensure local compute facilities provide the required infrastructure to support local compute and network operations.

    Partner with Service Providers service delivery teams to review service Levels, KPIs and metrics to ensure service levels are met through regular operational reviewsPartner with PepsiCo and Partner Architects, Compute and Network Engineers and other stakeholders to assist in the design, communication and implementation of Strategies, Technology Roadmaps, Standards, Processes and ServicesPartner with Information Security Group to ensure security, audit, SOX and compliance requirements are metPartner with Asset Management, Compute & Network Engineering teams to maintain asset currency and track out of support equipment still in use.

  • Partner with Asset Management, Capacity and Performance Management for Global IT Servers, Storage and Automation to assist in establishing a forecast model and anticipate demandProvide Data Center Provisioning and Automation to drive greater Service Delivery maturityProvide change governance and change ownership for Data Centres and server rooms by attending all relevant Change Approval BoardsPerform financial forecasting;
  • manage project and operational budgets.Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies and processes. Evolve and apply to continuously improve IT services.

    Make and influence technical and business decisionsWork closely with Supplier Relationship Team to foster healthy supplier relationships, manage contracts, product performance, usage monitoring and forecast, service levels and expectationsPartner with Architecture and Engineering Leaders to establish criteria and execution that ensures proper transition from Engineering to Operational areas for project delivery and production support.

    Lead the triage of complex problems as needed to ensure restoration or quality of service and support critical incidents when required.

    Partner with Risk and Compliance to lead development and ownership of in scope Data Centre disaster recovery plans and ensure regular review of DR plans and tests.

    Develop opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and remove organisational barriers for strong teamwork, collaboration, and excellent Compute service delivery Key Competencies Required : Selected Compute service providersPartners with Compute Engagement Leads and Service Delivery LeadsWorks with external technology vendors to support project and transformation requirements as neededSector application support teamsCollaborates with other Compute and infrastructure technology support teamsWorks with other data center leadsWorks with Capacity and Asset Management teams Key Qualifications / Requirements : Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or equivalent experience a plus15+ years of related IT business work experienceExperience in CPG industry preferredProvides outstanding customer service skills to direct and indirect customers, resolving very difficult and sensitive issues effectivelyOperational experience in technical platformsProject delivery experienceCapacity management and data center management experienceStrong analytical skills to support problem troubleshooting, resolution, and root cause determination to complex technology issuesAbility to thrive in a fast pace and demanding work environment.
