Job Description Summary Responsible for generating revenue within an organizational unit by closing major account sales often through face-to-face contact.
Major accounts are named accounts critical to the company in terms of market share growth and other business goals. Usually sells to and services one to two key accounts.

Make at customer visits per month including preparation, follow up, Sell new subscriptions to existing and new customers through up selling renewals, marketing campaigns, and cold calling.
Plans, organizes, implements sales programs for the region Plans and is responsible for achieving sales objectives in the region Makes presentations to new prospects and existing customers in academic and medical markets Completes sales trip reports within three days of a face-to-face sales call Prepares and submits weekly projection and pipeline reports for the region Prepares Account Plans for all Key Accounts Manages the following types of accounts in the assigned region : academic, consortium, hospitals, health care systems.
Conducts sales calls, schedules promotional work and tracks sales activities of large & complex accounts within the region Quotes prices, prepares proposals and provides information regarding terms dates Develops new business within the assigned region & maintains existing customer base Participation in regional and national and international trade shows, conferences and sales meetings Compiles data on marketing trends, competitive products and pricing and reports to Management.
Enters sales activity, new prospects and all account information into our SalesLogix CRM system Enters sales order confirmations into the sales automation database Attends Ovid sales conferences and sales meetings as required
