Job Description

Lead and mentor the AWS, Hadoop and DevOps teams

Lead teams to achieve strategic goals, providing direction and motivating members, creating an atmosphere of trust, leveraging diverse views, coaching staff, and encouraging improvement and innovation

Lead operational initiatives for Cloud Hosting Services, including Hadoop, Compute, Storage, Development / Tools.

Managing efforts across multiple technical teams and their supported services, especially translating business demands into prioritized initiatives to fill business requirements across services and / or project

Managing resource requirements, project workflow and preparing or coordinating complex written and verbal materials

The ability to convert capacity plans into tangible cloud resources

Experienced with Cloud Monitoring / Cost management / Billing and Performance tools, and ability to develop remediation plans

Responsible for assisting internal customers on consuming the Global Cloud Service and providing guidance on features and functions that have been approved for use

Work with team leaders and managers within Operations to deliver a consistent and available service

Tracking and reporting on all deployed cloud resources insuring effective use of Operating Expense

Compliance with Change Control Processes and adherence to standards and documentation

Willingness and ability to adapt to rapid changes in order to support and use future technology

Responsible for awareness and compliance with all aspects relating to policy and guidelines of the Information Security Policy

Responsible for collation of data and the distribution of daily and monthly operational reports

Performs all related job functions following established process and procedures in order to preserve the confidentiality of information from unauthorized disclosure and to protect the integrity of information from unauthorized or accidental modification, and protect the accuracy and completeness of this information

The Successful Applicant

10+ years IT Infrastructure management experience including cloud infrastructure management

Must have past team and workload management experience

Strong understanding of Linux, AWS, Hadoop and other deployed platforms, including how to build, deploy and integrate applications using PaaS and IaaS services

Extensive understanding of Cloud Service Provider offerings; AWS and supporting technologies

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, work in a team environment, follow written policies and procedures, and obsess over a superior customer experience

Strong knowledge of OS (Windows / Linux) security, Database security

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, IDS, IPS, Proxy, etc.)
