About the Team :

The Optimization Analyst team is part of the Optimization Strategy organization. We analyze and optimize Native / DSP / Premium Ad campaigns, thus helping advertisers meet and exceed their performance goals.

The team works with the Account Strategist and Account Management teams, uses Native / Exchange advertising frameworks to develop strategies that drive performance of Native / Programmatic / Premium campaigns.

Leveraging the best-in-class Verizon Media Ad Platform, the Optimization Analyst recommends optimizations to targeting, audience segments, creatives, landing pages and supply sources across Native, Display, Video and Mobile.

Along with our Account Strategists and Account Managers, Optimization Analysts are individual contributors who act as a key resource for Verizon Media’s most valuable advertisers in planning and implementing their digital marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities :

Meets or exceeds quarterly upload goals set by management

Build and optimize Native / DSP advertising campaigns; work with account teams to develop customized, error-free recommendations

Provide strategic solutions to improve campaign performance either through best practice implementation, reporting, account performance analysis and / or category expertise.

Implement and optimize additional Native / BrightRoll product offerings

Greets all challenges with a head-on, solutions-focused approach

Seeks feedback regularly and executes on it

Provides high quality inputs, ensures timely and open communication and showcases a high degree of ownership through any partnership

Takes initiative and pro-actively seeks out new challenges

Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times, even during times of change.

Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written); e-mail, calls and IM etiquette a must

The Role

Proficient knowledge of all Native / DSP / Premium platforms and tools

Seizes opportunities to grow their knowledge base

Identifies problems and proposes creative solutions

Certified on DSP / Native

Owns campaigns and is able to troubleshoot issues

Performs optimizations based on campaign goals, keeping advertiser performance the top priority

Provides feedback and recommendations to help shape campaign strategy

Builds and maintains positive and productive partnerships

Effectively sets expectations with partners

Follows established processes and policies consistently

Ability to surface feature requests

Responsible for all facets of Native / DSP / Premium campaigns

Protects revenue

Balances performance and profitability

Identifies optimization / incremental revenue opportunities

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor level degree with a preference for marketing, advertising, or related field

2+ years of relevant experience

Good interpersonal and communication skills - oral, written and presentation

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Proven ability to manage prioritize, multiple daily tasks and thinking on your feet in high-pressure situations

High attention to detail with an ability to do organic research

Creative problem solving employing data analytics and critical thinking

Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively across multiple teams
