We are looking for a technical lead to manage team of software engineers developing & maintaining Blue Planet’s Resource Adapters (RA), device simulators and RA generator tool in micro-services oriented and container-based system architecture.

You will expected to follow a disciplined approach to software development to ensure that the application is delivered by your team with high quality, to the required specifications, and by the required delivery date.


  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the team of Resource Adapter (RA) software developers
  • Influence architectural decisions, design / code reviews, test plans and technology strategy
  • Review product requirements and feature requests, providing development effort estimates and risk assessments to senior management
  • Report on team’s contributions to various projects in regular cross-functional project meetings
  • Manage multiple concurrent RA development projects to deliver committed features on time with good quality
  • Communication and co-ordination with all the stakeholders throughout the design and development cycle from concept through RA delivery.
  • Attend meetings, report progress, and take technical leadership to troubleshoot and fix defects
  • Required experience and skills

  • Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science with 8+ years of software development experience and 2+ technical leadership experience
  • Strong technical background and proven track-record leading high-performing teams to deliver large, complex software components as part of a multi-function product development team
  • Software development experience, preferably using Python, Jinja templates and JSON
  • Ability to resolve complex issues that may require design trade-offs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of using software tools for analysis, development, testing, and debug
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders
  • Desirable knowledge or experience in (a plus not mandatory)

  • Distributed, Highly-available systems running at large scale
  • Distributed platforms and stream processing using Kafka or similar systems
  • Cloud environments (e.g., Docker, AWS, Openstack etc.)
  • Fundamentals of SDN and NFV (Network function virtualization)
  • Basic understanding of networking including L0 / L1 / L2 / L3 Switching & Routing, NETCONF, YANG
