Position Summary The candidate will work closely with technology teams and will be responsible for project planning, delivery, client interaction, trouble shooting, managing project operational parameters and people management.
Experience and Required Skills At least 15 years experience in providing expert level Tier 3 technical infrastructure support services for issues elevated from the Support Center and other Technical Services groups on more than one technology stack.
Extensive knowledge of Database architecture is mandatory Expert level understanding of Oracle database architecture Should have experience & ability to work with various teams to resolve performance issues (development, database administrators, network administrators, system administrators and business users) Exposure to work on Oracle Engineered systems viz Exadata Should have Proficient Knowledge in Managing and administration of Windows Server, Linux, Windows Shell Scripting and SQL Server Administration, SharePoint Ability to diagnose the performance issues from SQL to Application to Database to System to storage Excellent problem-solving skills, should be able to transverse across infrastructure layer to diagnose issues Complete understanding of Oracle database & backup recovery options Provide hands-on architectural expertise, direction and assistance to other DB Engineers / Administrators, IT Engineers / Managers / Administrators and others Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase performance, reliability, scalability, availability, redundancy / resilience, cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility Responsible for architectural roadmap to move from an on premise design to one that leverages software-defined technologies, to include, public, private, and hybrid design considerations Cost / Benefit modeling and creating compelling business cases Should have experience on ZFS and BDA Designing, building and operating global DB infrastructures Expert knowledge of the product support practices and concepts and knowledge of one or more IT platforms and products Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements.
Should have ability to determine the appropriate technical tool to address the clients business needs Experience leading a large team and Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
The ability to write clearly and communicate openly with the team is required Hand on experience on Linux / UNIX admin skills, scripting abilities (Shell / bash / csh / python / etc) Good to have development skills on SharePoint 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / 2019 Willingness to work in Rotational shifts in a 24 / 7 / 365 environment, strong technology knowledge & real time experience, with certifications in areas like Windows, Database, Linux and Networking
